Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July, 2010
With a view to hosting the biannual conference of the Association of Cultural Economics International (ACEI) to Japan in 2012, this Research Conference will welcome papers in English from international researchers, both based overseas and those residing in Japan, contributing to discussions and exchanges of ideas on various issues in the field of cultural economics as widely defined between Japanese and international participants.
Kobe is a major city in the Western part of Japan (Kansai area), easy to access from abroad. We suggest that conference participants fly into the Kansai International Airport. With an international atmosphere, openness and the economic and cultural capital accumulated over the centuries, the city is making strenuous efforts to nurture the creative industries including fashion, film and music, among others. It has been a home to major concert halls and museums as well as small-scale alternative places for the arts.
